i thought I had read somewhere about the nose bumps shortly after getting slipper but I cant find the meaning behind it.

there are times when she'll just come up to us and nose bump us in the feet or legs. If we're watching TV sometimes she'll go up to our hands and bump there or whatever area she finds. We just reach out a pet her which seem to calm her down. There are times when she'll just bump and leave.

Now there's also scratching. She's done this to me when sitting down she'll scratch at the bottom of my jeans (not as fun when I am wearing shorts!). She's also done this on my leg when she gets up on the sofa as well as arm or any other area.

She doesnt do the scratching as often as the nose bump. It seems like she likes to run her nose on everything. Is this the same as the chin rubs I've read about?

thanks for the bunny insight!

I'm definitely no expert, but from what I've noticed from my own bunnies is that nose bumps generally mean, "pay attention to ME!" Usually Daisy will nose bump me when I'm on the computer, eating something she wants or something of that sort-when my attention isn't solely on her!

With the scratching, I'm not entirely sure, Daisy does the same thing to me, usually on my chest of all places Rolling Eyes I think it's similar to the nose bumps in that usually she does this when I'm not paying attention to her-she thinks anyway! The only other option I've thought of is that it may be something along the lines of making something more comfortable (kind of like a dog/cat making their "bed"). I have noticed Daisy digging in her litter box, basically shifting the hay around and then flopping down in it, I'm guessing it is more comfortable? (I haven't slept on hay so can't say for certain!) She will also do it in her cardboard boxes in her attempts to "remodel" them.

Lol with Bandit it means:
Oi! You! Stop whatever you're doing and lavish me with fusses and attention, bow down and worship, mere mortal!

Failure to comply will invariably result in a bunny tantrum! (Stampy feet, and back turned)

This normally happens when we are concentrating on something else and he is feeling neglected! Confused

LOL to both posts! Smile

yeah I figured as much, all she wants is attention, yet at times she does the nose bumps WHILE she's getting attention! "more-more-more"!!!

oh they're too funny.

thanks!!!! Smile

lol mine do the nose bumps (we call them nudges) as a greeting. When we first see them in the morning, or when we get in, if we hold our hands out to them, they'll nudge us on the fist. It's like a 'yo, buddy' lol.
they also do it as they go past on feet or ankles (pay attention to ME!).
Custard scrabbles too. That is an attention thing, i think. Or when she wants to get past and we're in the way Razz

Thats an awful lot of clean up to be doing! Shocked

Back on thread:

Nudging and scratching i get as well. Mostly from my older one Hoppy. I know for a fact its one of two things depending on the circumstance.

1) You better start giving me some love baby!
or
2) Get your giant sparsly furred butt outta my way!

Willoughby's nudges mean hello, get out the way or pat me! The other day I was sitting cross legged, and he was nudging my knee and then sticking his head under it and waiting for my knee to somehow pat him. Needless to say, it didn't work and he got the strops on Laughing
